Is Neal Bledsoe gay? All about his sexuality

Neal Bledsoe

Neal Bledsoe has departed from Great American Family following its executives’ comments about LGBTQ+ inclusion. Bledsoe said he couldn’t work for a company that discriminates against people based on sexuality. Neal’s departure came in response to controversial statements by the network’s CEO, Bill Abbott, and actress Candace Cameron Bure.

“I cannot take comfort from, nor will I give refuge to, those who excuse exclusion and promote division in any way, shape, or form. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and these are mine: the recent comments made by leadership at Great American Family are hurtful, rong, and reflect an ideology that prioritizes judgment over love.”

Neal Bledsoe is not gay. He supports the LGBTQ+ community but isn’t a member.

Bledsoe has kept a tight lid on his private life throughout his long career. Consequently, he has avoided rumors about his love.

However, Neal was linked with British television presenter and fashion model Asha Leo. In October 2016, the couple attended the screening of Sam at Laemmle’s Royal Theater in Los Angeles, California. The couple didn’t confirm their relationship, but reports claim they dated.

Neal is currently single or dating secretly after his romance with Asha fizzled out.

Bledsoe declared unconditional support for the LGBTQ+ community

Candace Cameron Bure told The Wall Street Journal that she was looking forward to working with the Great American Family because the network would ‘keep traditional marriage at the core’. CEO Bill Abbott added:

“It’s certainly the year 2022, so we’re aware of the trends. There’s no whiteboard that says, ‘Yes, this’ or ‘No, we’ll never go here.’”

The interview’s publication sparked widespread disapproval from stars like JoJo Siwa and Jonathan Bennett. Neal Bledsoe went a step further by dissociating himself from the Great American Family. In a statement to Variety, Bledsoe wrote:

“I want to be very clear: my support for the LGBTQIA+ community is unconditional – nothing is worth my silence or their ability to live and love freely in a world that we are lucky enough to share with them.”
