How did Dr. Zelenko die? The controversial doctor’s death detailed

Dr. Zelenko

Dr. Vladimir ‘Zev’ Zelenko shot to fame in early 2020 when President Donald Trump popularized his combination of hydroxychloroquine, zinc sulfate, and azithromycin as a treatment for COVID-19. Before Dr. Zelenko’s infamy, he served as a community doctor of Kiryas Joel, a town in upstate New York, for nearly 20 years.

Despite facing stiff opposition from the medical community, which cast serious doubt on the effectiveness of his cure, Dr. Zelenko kept advertising his drug combination. Dr. Zelenko claimed that the ‘Zelenko Protocol’ had successfully treated hundreds of patients over five days.

As Trump endorsed the treatment, the former president said he’d started taking hydroxychloroquine as a preventive measure against the coronavirus.

Dr. Zelenko passed away in late June 2022 after a long battle with cancer

Dr. Zelenko immigrated to the United States from Kyiv when he was three. His family settled in Brooklyn, New York City.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2000 from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Zelenko specialized in family medicine.

According to The Times of Israel, Dr. Zelenko passed away in late June 2022 following an extensive battle with cancer. Zev, 49, left behind a wife and eight children. A statement from Zelenko Labs read:

“It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of our founder Dr. Vladimir ‘Zev’ Zelenko. Dr. Zelenko was a physician, scientist, and activist for medical rights who touched the lives of millions of people. Some were saved as his role as a doctor, and even more were inspired by his words.”

“His ‘Zelenko Protocol’ saved millions and earned him a Nobel Prize nomination and the admiration of a U.S. President among other prominent world leaders.”

Zev believes that his cure could have saved many American lives

When Dr. Zelenko touted his cure, the world was nowhere near creating a vaccine for the coronavirus. In early 2020, every day marked a new high in coronavirus deaths worldwide.

Dr. Zelenko told WND that his drug worked and could’ve saved hundreds of thousands of lives. He told the outlet that of the more than 7,000 patients his team had treated with the Zelenko protocol, only three died.

The doctor said that zinc was the key virus killer, with the other drugs opening ‘the door to the cell to let the zinc in.’ Dr. Zelenko said he never changed his messaging after getting the endorsement from former President Trump.

Zev claimed he’d developed an over-the-counter COVID-19 medication called Z-Stack, containing zinc, quercetin, vitamin D, and vitamin C. Dr. Zelensky claimed that his drugs prevented the progression of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which required hospitalization.

“Well, in the meantime 850,000 Americans are dead, and we could have prevented probably 730,00 of them from even going to the hospital and ended this pandemic globally.”
